This catalogue contains a variety of their reproduction furniture as well as the measurements of each piece. This album contains many sideboards, clocks, armoires and side-tables. There are measurements and the item's name written in ink.Loosely inserted is a letter from W M Abbott and Co to Messrs C and J Brown Ltd regarding the photograph album of their productions with their latest test designs. The letter is dated September 17th 1959. In addition to this there are several photographs of kitchens from Geoffrey Sawyer Studios Ltd, Soho Square, London loosely inserted. A wonderful first-hand account of mid twentieth century interior design. In a quarter morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart. Patches of light rubbing to the boards, and a small loss to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Numerous photographic illustrations, many in colour. French language with Some Personal Recollections of a Visit to 11 East 64th Street, New York, in English, by Sir Francis Watson. Catalogue for an auction of French furniture and objets d'art taking place on the 25 and 26 June 1979 in Monte Carlo. "Art historian and museum curator Sir Francis Watson, 1907–1992, sought never to take himself too seriously and insisted that "museums exist to give pleasure", and treated his directorship of the Wallace Collection as an agreeable sinecure rather than as a heavy burden. "He did much to improve the care of the works of art in his charge, initiating the introduction of air-conditioning throughout the Wallace Collection and establishing specialist workshops for the conservation of furniture and arms and armour in the Royal Collection" - DNB. Syrian born Saudi businessman Akram Ojjeh (1923-1991) was an intermediary in deals between Saudi Arabia and France, particularly arms sales. in a cloth binding with original dustwrapper. Externally, smart with mild wear to the extremities and water damage to the rear board. The dustwrapper has slight bumping, with a tide mark stain to the tail of the rear panel, and an area of water damage on the rear panel. Internally the pages are bright and clean. A very scarce catalogue of 'Biclam' cast iron tables and seats.With a loosely inserted typed memorandum, dated March 1897, addressed to the Chairman of the Parks Committee, Salford Town Hall, from Bennett's Ironfoundry, who manufactured these tables and seats.The message reads 'we understand a large quantity of seats will be required for the new park which is being laid out by Salford Corporation and we should like very much to have an opportunity of supplying some of them. We would respectfully draw your attention to the patterns shown in the enclosed catalogue&apos.The catalogue consists of hundreds of monochrome illustrations of cast iron tables and chairs, along with prices.When exhibiting at the Manchester Jubilee Exhibition of 1887, Bennett"s Ironfoundry described themselves as a "supplier of round and square tables for restaurants, hotels, coffee taverns, tea gardens, parlours and occasional tables and flower stands for drawing room". A patron of the arts, she assisted Viscount Carlow financially in the publication of limited editions of numerous works by leading literary figures such as T E Lawrence, James Joyce, Wyndham Lewis, and others.
