Yale University bookplates are present to linen case and bookbox. To the inside pastedown of the book is a notice confirming the Bishop and cathedral chapters' actions to the content of their library after 1941. Slightly sunned spine. Spine head bumped and has approx 2cm tear in the middle covered in sellotape; spine tail bumped with some small nicks. Corners slightly softened, lower leading corners, front and back, slightly worn exposing the boards. Also small worn area on lower front edge near spine, exposing the board. Otherwise only light edge and shelfwear. Cracked line along front hinge, slight separation but still strong. Back hinge also cracked, again slight separation but still feels solidly bound. Library label on FEP and catalogue sticker on spine. Paste down and FEP slightly scuffed, half-title is browning, very light tanning on page edges throughout, not affecting text. Page block foot is grubby with some sctratches and grubby thumbed corner; page block has slight frayed edges. Pages in good clean condition. BW. Good/No Dust Jacket.
