Also present is an article, with photos, on the Ohio River survey, as well as an article on the then world's largest concrete bridge being constructed in Washington, DC, spanning Rock Creek (photo present). GOOD condition, ex-historical society, with blindstamps and stamping to the covers, as well as some notations. Blindstamps in the interior. Wrappers split and chipped along the spine. Minor soiling and some staining to the covers. Wrappers, as well as the interior, toned. Good .

In this Boring and Holway, discussing their experiments and findings with regard to the perceived size mirrored images of the moon and sun at the horizon versus other heights in the sky. Edwin Boring was an American experimental psychologist, involved with intelligence testing during World War I, as well as optical illusion research. This resulted in the 'Boring Figure' as well as noted research in the appearance of the moon (see Wikipedia). GOOD+ condition. Uneven fading and toning to the wraps. Light curling at the corners.
