General fading, minor scuffing and edgewear, with very light soiling. Sporadic dampstaining affecting the lower 2 inches of the pages throughout, most noticeable on the illustration pages. With 62 wood engravings and 9 engravings on steel, all present as called for. A general account of hunting in the British Isles, discussing the methods of finding and shooting various game birds, as well as game such as rabbit, deer and ferrets. With a few chapters discussing the importance of various breeds of dogs, including the Newfoundland and the Water Spaniel. GOOD condition. Moderate fading to the cloth, with some browning along the extremities and heavy browning to the spine. Minor scuffing and very light soilng. Cloth scuffed and frayed at the corners and spine tips, with a few small tears at the head of the spine. Slight bubbling to the cloth on the rear cover. First two ad endpapers TORN, with their lower halves MISSING. Minor general browning to the paper. The signature at pages 219-226 is becoming loose, although still attached. Previous owner's signature on the first endpaper. Good/No Jacket.
