Aubry draws on primary documents, including the papers of Hudson Lowe and other records in an attempt to present an unbiased look at the events surrounding the death in exile of Napoleon and the subsequent fallout. GOOD+ condition. General fading to the cloth, with darkening along the spine. Minor scuffing and soiling. Light scuffing along the extremities. A map of Italy, perhaps from the late 1700s or early 1800s, depicting cities and geographic features, as well as some bordering countries. All text in Latin. GOOD condition. Minor toning, curling and soiling to the piece, with a few very minor stains. Some creasing at the corners. Small notation in ink at the center right margin. Good .
