It was one of the longest conflicts in European history, spanning 241 years. This book covers the events of last Russo-Turkish War. The series was published in 20 installments, from 1876 to 1878, in which year publisher Weber of Leipzig bound the installments and offered them now in a book form. It contains a fantastic array of dramatic sketches of the battlefields and horrifying images of life under fire, views and landscapes, the war at sea, topography, military architecture and engineering, weaponry, individual and group portraits.
