Green cloth boards, mostly clean, gilt lettering, black decorations, a little shelf wear at extremities, sunned spine, one small stain at rear board, decorated endpapers [maps]. One of four volumes of wartime [World War I] letters which the author wrote to friends in the U.S. from Huiry, France near Paris where she worked as a foreign correspondent and translator.
