Khalid Mahmud (ca 1935-2011) became an educator, journalist, editor and author writing two books on Pakistan and Indian politics. In the seventies, while serving as a lecturer in Punjab University's Political Science Department where he had gotten his MA, he apparently made some remarks critical of the Army under then Dictator General Zia and lost his job as a result. He later edited two Punjabi newspapers and also served as a senior analyst at the Center for Regional Studies in Islamabad. In one of his obituaries, he is said to have gone "underground" and published left-oriented newsletters or blogs for which he acquired the sobriquet of "Khalid Bolshovi"! He was also generally known as "Professor". Very Good.
