"Rajneesh (born Chandra Mohan Jain, 11 December 1931 – 19 January 1990) , also known as Acharya Rajneesh, [1] Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh, Bhagwan Rajneesh, Osho Rajneesh and later as Osho, was an Indian godman, mystic, and founder of the Rajneesh movement. During his lifetime, he was viewed as a controversial new religious movement leader and mystic. In the 1960s, he travelled throughout India as a public speaker and was a vocal critic of socialism, arguing that India was not ready for socialism, and that socialism, communism, and anarchism could evolve only when capitalism had reached its maturity. Rajneesh also criticised Mahatma Gandhi and the orthodoxy of mainstream religions. Rajneesh emphasised the importance of meditation, mindfulness, love, celebration, courage, creativity, and humour—qualities that he viewed as being suppressed by adherence to static belief systems, religious tradition, and socialisation. In advocating a more open attitude to human sexuality he caused controversy in India during the late 1960s and became known as "the sex guru". " (from Wikipedia). Very Good .

Two national networks picked up the Radio Bible Class program, and its coverage grew to 600 stations around the world by the time of DeHaan's death. In 1956 DeHaan added the monthly Our Daily Bread devotional booklet to the sermons already being sent to listeners. DeHaan was not only an able Bible teacher but an astute businessman whom other broadcasters consulted to make their own operations more efficient. After Radio Bible Class dedicated a new building in 1958, DeHaan told an associate, "This thing is scaring me more than ever. I never envisioned this. I don't know why God ever picked me." HALL, FRANKLIN, Glorified Fasting the ABC of Fasting
HALL, FRANKLIN
Glorified Fasting the ABC of Fasting
Phoenix, AZ: Franklin Hall, 1973. Revised Edition. Stapled wraps. B&W Illustrations & Charts; This is a larger than trade sized booklet. The booklet is in Very Good+ condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the covers have some light bumping, and beginning curling. The text pages are clean and bright. "Little is known of Franklin Hall's background. His birth and death are unknown. Along with many others of the depression era Hall grew up in rural poverty and was deeply religious. Initially he was with the Methodist church but their stance against healing forced him elsewhere. During the depression and World War II he travelled as an independent evangelist....Hall carried on a ministry of teaching throughout the 1960s and 1970s. He began publishing Miracle Word magazine in 1965, which eventually reached a peak circulation of 24,000. Isolated by a somewhat deviant doctrine and less talented as a preacher than many of his competitors, Franklin Hall hung on through the fifties with the same tenacity that had helped him survive during the depression. In small churches and auditoriums across the nation he continued to teach with fervour his message of prayer and fasting and healing. When hard times came to the revival in the late 1950s, it was nothing new to Franklin Hall. He had an instinct for survival. Scores like him roamed the countryside." (from Revival Library Org. ). According to the New Testament, the apostles instructed converts after baptism (Acts 2: 41–42) , and Christian instruction was evidently given to all converts (Luke 1: 4, Acts 18: 25, Galatians 6: 6). As the number of Gentiles in the church increased, instruction became more definite. In the 4th century, with the rise of heresy, detailed doctrinal teaching was given. But by this time the postponement of baptism had become general (Constantine was not baptized until he was at the point of death) , and, therefore, a large proportion of Christians belonged to the catechumenate." With the unification of three branches of Methodism in 1939, Nashville was chosen as headquarters for publishing operations for the united church. With the Evangelical United Brethren-Methodist merger in 1968, it became The United Methodist Publishing House. From the very beginning of the Methodist movement in England, John Wesley distributed books and pamphlets. He insisted that books belonged in every home, and he told his followers to beg from the rich in order to buy books for the poor. Prior to 1787, books for the early Methodists in the U. S. Were sent from John Wesley in England. But the 1787 Conference and the Discipline said the preachers and the people recommended that books be printed here in the U. S. " (from Wikipedia).
