¶ With a bookplate affixed to the front pastedown attesting to the presentation by "The Directors of U. C. (Upper Canada) College" of this book, in 1834, to Thomas Ewart. In turn, there is a rubber stamp to the first preliminary blank leaf and to the recto of the rear free endpaper, announcing the donation of this book by one of Ewart's descendants to the Government of Manitoba Library. Internally, this book is in very nice condition but, given the state of the binding, it should be considered a reading copy only (or a candidate for re-binding), and is priced accordingly.
