The name 'Ruth' is printed in small childish letters on the front cover, and the child's full name is printed on the ffep (where it says 'This book belongs to..'). There are no other scribblings, or markings, to the contents which are otherwise in very nice, clean condition. The accompanying record is narrated by Glenn Kezer, with music by Albert Hague. It shows a few fingerprints but no significant scratches or other marks. It plays well. The sleeve is a bit scuffed, and sl. creased, but is otherwise in g/vg condition. The book is numbered TJ 2271, and the record CC 1671. Ill.: Lynd Ward colour illusts. This is the first Scholastic Press printing, on January, 1973. Complete with 33 1/3 rpm record in separate sleeve.
