Aquatint portrait in etched decorative border, on hand laid paper, sheet size 230 x 168 mm. Engraved by Pierre Charles Coqueret after Jean Baptiste Ponce Lambert, published in the series 'Collection générale des Portraits de MM. les Députés à l'Assemblée Nationale Constituante, tenue à Versailles le 4. Mai 1789'. This series was published by Nicolas-François Le Vachez in 1789. Pierre Charles Coqueret (Paris 1761-1851 Saint-Florentin) was a French aquatint engraver. He exhibited at the Salon from 1798 to 1810. Jean Baptiste Ponce Lambert (active at the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth century) was a French painter. In very good condition, cropped within platemark. Some faint soiling in the margin edges.

During his career he was a deputy, judge, lieutenant general in the bailiwick of Vesoul and president of the assembly of voters. Aquatint portrait in etched decorative border, on hand laid paper, sheet size 230 x 174 mm. Engraved by Pierre Charles Coqueret after Delaplace, published in the series 'Collection générale des Portraits de MM. les Députés à l'Assemblée Nationale Constituante, tenue à Versailles le 4. Mai 1789'. This series was published by Nicolas-François Le Vachez in 1789. Pierre Charles Coqueret (Paris 1761-1851 Saint-Florentin) was a French aquatint engraver. Portrait of Charles-Gaspard-Guillaume de Vintimille du Luc (1655-1746), a French Catholic bishop. He was Bishop of Marseille from 1692 to 1708 and Archbishop of Aix from 1708 to 1729; from 1729 to 1746 he was the Archbishop of Paris. Etching and engraving on hand laid paper, sheet size 267 x 197 mm., platemark 225 x 160 mm. Engraved and published by Louis Crépy, Paris, c. 1725-1754. Louis Crépy (1680-after 1754) was a French engraver and publisher. He was the son of Jean Crépy, and active from c. 1727. In very good condition, nice margins and a deep impression. Margin edges a little discoloured, right margin with a small stain. References: IFF 18e siècle vol. 5, p. 394: 31.

Renier Chalon (1802-1889) was a numismatist, collector and photographer. Here both sides of a memorial medal are shown, one side with an en profil portrait of Chalon, the other giving information (about the 39th anniversary of the Société Royale de Numismatique de Belgique). The plate is numbered: 23. Engraving on wove paper, sheet size 158 x 232 mm., image size 65 x 117 mm. Engraved by Leon Dardel after the medal issued by the Société Royale de Numismatique de Belgique, 1880. Léon Dardel (Paris 1814 - after 1892) was a French painter and engraver (illustrator). Very little is known about his life, except he was born as the son of a jeweller. Dardel was lauded by his contemporaries for his numismatic line drawings. In excellent condition, but only the lower half of the sheet, which originally contained two engravings.

Engraved by Leon Dardel after the medal made by Henri Charles Wurden, and issued by the Société Royale de Numismatique de Belgique, 1879. Engraving and etching on hand laid paper, sheet size 253 x 190 mm. Engraved by Jean Daullé after Joseph Vivien, 1761. Jean Daullé (Abbeville 1703-1763) was a French engraver of high reputation. He primarily made portraits. Worked for Rigaud from 1735. Received at the Académie Royale, 1742. Joseph Vivien (Lyon 1657-1734 Bonn) was a French painter. In good condition, cropped within platemark, some general soiling in the edges and caption below the image. Scattered foxing in the margins and corners of the image area.
