The author, a contributor to magazines, recounts her life, on her back in the remote wastes of Pimlico and suffering from a bad case of marriage, wondering why she married a Chartered Accountant, a monster of depravity who'd proposed whilst she wasn't looking, forcibly removing her from Soho, and plonking her down in Pimlico, where even the prostitutes were middle class. Alida immediately developed an allergy to matrimony and whiled away her time planning to bequeath her body to the medical profession. Dogs in hot-pants, enthusiastic clairvoyants, rollicking nuns and Regents Park's star turns all feature. Illustrated with cartoons by Bill Tidy. C3B. Very Good/Very Good.
