Tall 8vo. Pp. (xii), 64. With subscriber leaf. The text is complete but without half title (with list of plates on verso). With 9 lithograph plates, which of 7 are beautifully coloured by hand. Some staining to the first few leaves. Contemporary full dice calf, neatly rebacked to match. Copy of Richard Gregory, with his armorial bookplate and his subscriber leaf. First edition of two Cingalese poems about demonolatry of Ceylon, translated by John Callaway, a missionary living there at the time. As often the addendum with information about the Oriental Translation Fund is not present.
