A virtually new square solid tight clean unread copy. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY. This copy has been inscribed to a friend of President Carter, whom he refers to as an old shipmate from his Navy days, at the request of another friend. That friend then adds a gift inscription to the book and presented the book as a birthday present from both the friend and carter. As close friends do each are addressed by first names or possibly nicknames. There is a letter included with this copy that was written by Carter in which he mentions the problem from time to time he discusses he occasional lust for women among other things. Any how this copy includes the one page letter which looks like it was composed on a word processor. The book and letter are both signed by the President using the shortened " Jimma " as you would with a close friend instead of his full name. He mentions in the letter that this is one of the first 10 copies that he has personally autographed. Fine/Fine. Signed by Author & Illustrator.
