France, Richard,
Obediently Yours, Orson Welles (a play in two acts).
np, np, (1995). VG in clear cover. Typewritten xeroxed manuscript of France's play now playing in Paris until October 29, 2010. The play features M. Drouot who. according to some critics greatly resembles Welles. France's play is also the basis for Mascares (Masks) which played at the San Sebastian Film Festival in September, 2009. Jose Maria Pou played Welles. France's later work published in 2001 is "Orson Welles on Shakespeare: the W.P.A. and Mercury Theatre Playscripts" won rave reviews for illuminating Welles and for giving us access to Welles.

MacLeish, Archibald,
J.B.: a play in verse.
Boston, Houghton Mifflin, (1958). VG in Fair DJ. "If God is God He is not good, If God is good He is not God, Take the even, take the odd." The justification of the. injustice is not, in this play, our blind acceptance of god's inexplicable will, nor our blinder acceptance of the existence oft the world because the world exists. The justification is our love, in spite of everything, for God; our love of life in spite of life. Man depends on God for all things: God depends on man for one. And love is a free gift or it is nothing. Damp stain to top of DJ & book, DJ has some splits at corner.
