Their attachment continues. The baron's house in Vaduz is named Villa Askania Nova. There is a stamp next to his signature signifying this. Included is a genealogical table: Die Familie Fein / Falz-Fein. In general good condition. The dustjacket has a clear plastic protective cover that is in robust condition. The dustjacket beneath is serene. Inside, the front and end pages have adhesive tape residue marks and foxing. He was careful to always distinguish between the Kremlin and the people. This book about his time in the Soviet Union during WW2 was along this vein. This copy is in general sound condition. The dustjacket is shabby and worn. The cover is dignified and neat. The pages (there is a gift inscription on the frontispage - not from the author) are clear, clean, approachable and assured. fk. The publication of this book coincided with (but was unattached to) his recall to Moscow. The book was printed according to war-time economy standards. The cover is much abused.
