J M Dent and Co. London. 1908. Softcover, with dust jacket. 10 pocket-sized volumes (complete). All ten are fully covered in green leather. They have the Owl of Athena stamped in gilt on the front. The volumes are in varying states of repair. Publication dates also vary. Each has a most attractive woodcut decoration on the title page. Each has a different personality presented on the frontispiece. The set is most genially worn and happily owned all about. There is wear to edges and corners and spines. Nonetheless they are joyfully comfortable and comforting. The contents of each - apart from some very shallow wear to the early binding of each - are most healthy and pleasing. The slipcase is still hardy and fit for purpose. Full leather. Stamped gilt titling. These boards are a little worn about the corners and shelving edges. However, they are venerable and pleasingly hale. The contents have evidence of avid use throughout. The pages are relaxed, assured. They have some user wear and handling marks.
