The Modern Home : A Book of British Domestic Architecture for Moderate Incomes - a Companion Volume to "the British Home of to-Day"
Hodder & Stoughton, London. 1906, First Edition. Hardcover. 176 pages plus advertising fore and aft (complete). The top left corner of the book has been guillotined. The sack cloth covered boards are much worn, much marked and stained. The spine has been repaired at some stage with cloth tape. The boards are grubby, yet defiant and stoic. The contents have aged mildly. There is foxing here and there, wear here and there, marks only occasionally. The pages and plates, however, still retain a certain esprit de jeunesse. The pages are thick, assured, clear, benign, diligent, amenable, competent. fk. Fair/No Jacket.
