From the library of Frank Bradlow (the Africana specialist and collector) whose ex-libris plate is affixed to the front pastedown. The frontispage is signed by 10 member of the South African forces who were at Alamein (from 9th Queen's Royal Lancers/ 2nd Btn Imperial Light Horse) to 3rd Recce to WAAS etc). The dustjacket is grubby with wear, scuffing and marks. It is intact and sure. The boards have storage wear and marks about the edges. They are otherwise steady and comfortable. The papertrims are foxed. Whilst the early and later pages are foxed, the contents are overwhelmingly clean, clear, orderly, tidy, bold, assured, tight and convivial. fk. Good/Fair.

A placid copy of this biography of the legendary Dan Pienaar, written very soon after his sudden death in an aircraft accident. The covers are worn and scuffed. Nonetheless they are comfortable. The spine has much wear but is secure. The page trims have writing from a thick marker. The frontispage has a gift inscription (not from the author). Page 41 has an annotation from a previous owner indicating the mention of a late relation. The pages are contented, benign, clean, clear, assured and certain. fk. Fair/No Jacket.
