Last But Not Least : The Wartime Story of 30 Squadron, South African Air Force
30 Squadron Veterans' Association, South Africa. 1984, First Edition. Hardcover, with dust jacket. 270 pages (complete). Inscribed on the frontispage by van Niekerk. A most decent copy. Included: a compliments slip from the Executive Committee 30 Squadron Veterans' Association, with a message to the inscribee from Frederick van Niekerk on the rear; also, a photocopied "Extract from Jack Fisher's Log Book (SAAF Pilot - Ferry Unit) Marauder Trip - 7th October, 1943 : (p.114 in Log Book)". This is most dramatic and interesting. The dustjacket has wear, scuffing, marks from handling and shelving. It is secure and comfortable. The boards are tidy with some light storage fading about the edges. They are steady, very sure, placid. The contents are most pleasing. They are clean, clear, convivial, diligent, dutiful, proud, companionable. fk. Near Fine/Fair. Signed.
