The South African Law of Jurisdiction
Hortors Limited, Johannesburg. 1937, First Edition. Hardcover, with dust jacket. 265 pages (complete). A pleasing first edition copy of this most important title. Pollak's 'Jurisdiction' was much referred to and cited for many years after publication. Pollak as chair of the Johannesburg bar, later defended Nelson Mandela when the Transvaal Law Society tried to have him struck off. The green boards have wear, scuffing and marks all about. The spine too has some wear to the head and foot and body. The boards and spine are sound and steady. There are previous owner inked stamps. The early pages have pools, smudges of shallow foxing. There are also some very few annotations. In general and by far, the contents are very clean, clear, tidy, certain, competent, confident, assured. fk. Very Good/No Jacket.
