New Era - Vol 1 No 1 - March/April 1986
Grassroots Publications. 1986, First Edition. Softcover. 38 pages (complete). First edition of this brave and defiant political magazine, published as the peoples struggle against apartheid gathered pace under extreme repression. "New Era" was not only unapologetically, even stridently socialist, it defied censorship restrictions by publishing photographs of, and articles on, Nelson Mandela and the ANC. It is an excellent example of the publications beginning to emerge as the apartheid controls began their last stand. The covers of this copy have some light wear, some scuffing. They are secure. The contents are tidy, clean, clear, very assured and confident. fk. Very Good/No Jacket.
