Schneegans, whose Wikipedia entry notes that he was born on 4 May 1844 in Leipzig and then passed away on 6 November 1911 in Ruprechtsau near Strasbourg, where this item was published. Grober was a German Romance philologist and professor thereof for a number of years in Zurich and then at the University of Strassburg. His principal works were in Romance literature and linguistics, and this item is a contribution thereto, a series dubbed Einfuhrung in die Romanischen Klassiker. . . . Good
