Martin Chemnitz (1522-1586) was a prolific and influential German Luteran theologian, known as the "Second Martin". Loci Theologici is a commentary on Melanchthon's "Loci Communes", and is edited by Polycarp Leyser. In Domini in Coena, Chemnitz makes a case for the real presence of Christ's body and blood in Holy Communion. .
