Very good, bright copy with flaps & most of the front & rear panels of d.w. present, missing spine Utopian novel many of the characters of which are based on real people including Arthur Balfour, Winston Churchill & Lady Astor. These characters, according to Everett F. Bleiler, "Science-Fiction: The Early Years," are "precipitated into a parallel world in another dimension, because of an experiment in dimension crossing" conducted by members of the other world, a Utopia based on advanced technology. The Utopians are large and beautiful human specimens who "make the earthmen look sickly and dwarfish .. As might be expected, the earthmen immediately cause trouble." The Churchill character "decides that the Utopians are degenerate and plans to stage a coup" which the Utopians easily put down by shifting the insurgents into another dimension.
