Du côté guinéen le réalisateur principal est l'Institut National de Recherches et de Documentation à Conakry, avec la participation du Musée National et de l'Institut Polytechnique à Conakry. Les recherches d'une importance essentielle étaient effectuées dans les années 1965 et 1968; la première phase c'était la reconnaissance, la deuxième - plus ample - comprenait les recherches systématiques. Il vaut souligner, que l'équipe d'étude fut introduit dans la problématique locale et le milieu de la culture préhistorique avec l'aide éminente de Monsieur D.T.
