Bound in full calf leather bindings, spines with brown morocco leather labels lettered in gilt, with decorative raised and gilt banding. Boards with gilt and embossed decorative line edging. Marbled page edges, grey/brown endpapers. In very good conditions. Spines darkened with a couple of minor nicks to top ends. Some rubbing to corners and edges, a couple of corners bumped and chipped. Some minor marks to boards; small chip to front of vol.4 with some light marks. Small cracks to top corners of front hinges on vols.3&5 (runs to 1st raised bands). Neat inscriptions in latin to front endpapers “E dono sociocum, ouslow, Martin Fur.” Some minor spots and some darkening to a couple of pages; preface vol.1, some appendix pages, etc. Else inside pages very clean and tight. 5 vols. approx 500pp per vol + appendices. Each volume has an engraved frontis portrait.
