Gilt lettering on classic hubbed spines of four raised bands dividing five panels. All edges gilt to protect against dust and moisture. Emerald green colored moire endpapers, and sewn-in silk ribbon book mark. Pages are thread-sewn for strength and durability, have long-lasting, acid-neutral, archival quality paper, and a handsome, readable typeface. Tiny instance of shelf rubbing to bottom edge. 3 corners have extremely slight "nudging" No bookplate present. Moire endpapers show a bit of sunning around outside border. 585 pp. This is an amplified collection of Mumford's earlier book, "The Human Prospect." Only three selections from the last book are used in the present one. Near Fine .
