TAYLOR, MICHEAL & BROCARD SEWELL
Saint Dominic's Press. A Bibliography 1916-1937. With a Memoir By Susan Falkner, an Introduction By Brocard Sewell, a Preface By Michael Taylor, and an Appendix By Adrian Cunningham.
. Lower Marston, Risbury, Whittington Press, 1995, Small quarto. [VIII]180 pp. With 24 plates./facsimiles. (mostly tipped-in). Indexes. the total edition was 400 copies, this is number 48 of the 100 copies bound in quarter Oasis and brown paper covered printed boards.27x20cm, The tipped-in facsimile specimen pages are from St Dominic's press items, plus colour and b/w photographic plates, and an introduction by Susan Falkner, Hilary Pepler's daughter. with a printed device on the front cover and gilt title to spine, with a separate portfolio of specimen pages from St Dominic's press books in quarter bound in russet cloth with brown paper over boards, plus a separate facsimile copy of 'Daisy and Marguerite' in quarter bound in grey cloth and grey paper covered boards i, all in a brown paper-covered slipcase with cloth to top and bottom edges. Taylor and Sewell's most comprehensive bibliography of the St Dominic's Press, with a generous provision of specimen pages together with copious additional material in this lavish special edition as noted above. The specimen pages in the book are facsimiles, however they are letterpress rather than photolitho reproductions, printed with type reset by the Whittington Press. In contrast, the portofolio specimen pages are original leaves printed at St Dominic's Press. This copy contains two items in the Portfolio: four pages from 'Horae Beatae Virginis' and a leaf from 'Lectiones ad Matutinam' - a label inside the front cover of the portfolio notes that only 'about half' of the special edition copies contain the latter item. A wonderful immaculate cop in slipcase( private press ).

WESSELS, DICK
Een 1/2 Tuinhuis.
. Met illustraties van Dick Wessels. Maastricht, Het gonst, 1989, one of 55 copies, signed by Wessels.
