AMERICAN SEATING COMPANY
American Tubular Steel School Furniture
Chicago, American Seating Company 1916 2pp folded leaflet, bw illustrations of desks etc, letter (dated 2 October 1917) to the Portuguese Ministry of Education from the company's export manager, loosely inserted. 32x36 (unfolded), 16x9 (folded). Couple of small holes in both items, generally very good for emphemera. The letter is seeking the renewal of exports when post-war trading conditions return: the company is still thriving, so perhaps the approach was succesful. Hundreds of millions of children, church goers and office workers across the world will have sat at these desks...
