Unpublished, 1910. Burma & India Photograph Album circa 1910. Album in soft card covers size 28 by 20 cm., with 105 photographs. Sizes of the images vary from 13 by 8 cm. to 5 by 7, with many 14 by 10 and one 20 by 15 cm. About 5 or 6 seem to be commercially produced prints, with the rest all unique. There are many scenes in Burma, including Mandalay, Pyuangshu, Magwe (?), Saigang and Pakokku- a building at Col Hill Pakokku is the subject of the largest photograph, and views of the Irawaddy. Boats, large and small feature, along with elephants at work. There are also a few photos of the more popular destinations in India such as Delhi, Lucknow and Lahore, but there are also images of Dalhousie (with its bazaar), Birowlie and Bowarrah and other locations. There are also several photographs of Ceylon or Sri Lanka. Most of the subjects of the photographs are identified. Condition of photos Good to VG; the covers of the album are somewhat rubbed and tired. Images available.
