Unpaginated, but about 44 pages with spaces for the 100 stamps provided on the still-intact perforated sheet. An artifact of a major event held in Chicago during 1948 and 1949. Remarkably nice condition with the original mailing envelope included. The perforations are starting to give way where the sheet is folded and the mailing envelope (unused) has some edgewear. The booklet is unworn. Near Fine.

New York:, Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce of America,, 1926., First Edition, Hardcover. A yearly publication. Octavo, about 9 inches tall, in light green cloth decorated in black and red. 331 pages illustrated by photographs. A yearly report on the activities in the aeronautical business with photos of new aircraft and articles on political and military affairs. This copy owned by Will D. (Billy) Parker with his signature on the front endpaper . He was a notable early aviator (private pilot's license #44) and member and one time president of the "Early Birds", a group open to those who piloted an airplane before Dec. 17, 1916. He continued to fly a "pusher" that he built in 1912 in airshows around the country into the 1960s. Endpapers lightly toned, but the inside is otherwise clean and soundly bound. The covers are mildly soiled and lightly edgeworn. There is an abrasion near the middle of the spine which has caused a tear of about a half inch. Very Good.

All in all, a wonderful copy in a very attractive, virtually complete, unfaded jacket with a small collection of insignificant flaws. The book's extremities barely rubbed, the stamp of an AA unit in Austin TX on the front endpapers and on the last page of text; binding sound and interior otherwise clean. The jacket is complete but for a tiny chip at top of each spine fold and one at the bottom front flap fold. Edge and extremity wear is light. There is a one-inch tear at the top front panel with associated creasing and a shorter tear with creasing at the top front flap fold. Finally, there is a tear of about a half-inch at the head of the spine, also with an associated crease. Very Good+ in Very Good Dustjacket.

Brown cloth stamped in gilt and decorated in blind. 414 pages plus 4 pages of ads (therefore BAL 10434, first state). Portions of the book on California (including a lengthy section on Yosemite) and New England. But fully half the book concerns Colorado with plenty of commentary on the scenery and the people. Wynar, 2125. Covers modestly edge worn with tips barely worn through to boards. Spine ends a little frayed with very slight loss of material. Inside soundly bound with christmas gift note from 1878 in pencil on the first blank. A few pages with a small stain at upper corner. A bit of a lean to the spine, and some gatherings a little uneven at the foredge but all soundly attached. Very good.
