Additionally there are profuse textual illustrations. A red & green chop mark is tipped-in at the top of the copyright/colophon page. There is a short tear to the front edges of a very pages, not affecting the images. There is some light creasing. Deacquisitioned by "The Museum of Primitive Art Library" with their "canceled" embossed blind stamp on both the Japanese title page and the title page of the English booklet. Very good.

Volume 1 only of a 16 volume work. Complete in itself.

The text is printed in Japanese calligraphy with a 17 page English translation of the description of the plates, with it's own title page, tipped-in. Very good .
