Colour plates clean and bright. Else a clean and tight copy. Unpaginated. With 12 colour plates, one double page. With b/w illustrations in text. Illustrations by H.C.Earnshaw. This is an exceptional bit of aviation history. Written for children as a dialogue between two boys and their pioneer aviator Uncle Bob. The colour plates (12 colour plates at 8 by 10inches including double of a air show) by Earnshaw of ancient, pre WWI, biplanes and monoplanes and dirigibles are exceptional and historic.
