n. p. (probably Leipzig, ca. 1827). 6 7/8 x 8 1/4 inches including margins. Engraved map by Von Bergmann ("Grav. vn. Bergmann" on lower left). Some light staining, mostly in marginal areas, else very good. Shows a large Arkansas Territory and parts of Texas and today's Indian Territory, all of Louisiana and Mississippi, parts of Alabama, Florida, Missouri, Kansas, and southern Illinois and Indiana. For Texas it includes San Antonio, "Galvezton," Nacogdoches, and Haytones (Indian settlement at the head of the Brasos), plus many rivers: San Saba, Rio Brasos de Dios, Rio Colorado, etc. But no mention of the Austin colony. Much detail at New Orleans and the mouth of the Mississippi River.
