It opens during the Watts Riots of 1965, and follows Lloyd Hopkins from employment with the National Guard until he is a sergeant with the LAPD.James Ellroy (b. 1948) is an author of crime fiction, known for works including 'The Black Dahlia', 'L.A. Confidential' and the Lloyd Hopkins trilogy. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, minor wear only to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Dust wrapper also has only slight wear, and is in excellent condition.
