An interesting work looking at angling, a method of fishing by means of a fish hook. The work sets out to describe and advice on all aspects of fly-fishing, angling, and trolling. The author focuses mostly on trout fishing.Written by Thomas Christopher Hofland. Hofland was an artist and teacher, who was a keen angler who combined his passion with his skill for landscape painting.Illustrated by the author with a frontispiece, twenty-one plates, and in-text woodcuts.This new edition revised and enlarged by E. Jesse.Collated, bound without one plate, to face page 211. In the original publisher's cloth binding.
