A lovely collection of stories, anecdotes and poems on the sea, and life as a sailor, with adventurous tales of shipwrecks, ghosts, storms, battles, Lord Nelson and Admiral Blake. These writings are anonymous. Illustrations throughout by J. M. W. Turner, A. G. Vickers, Clarkson Stanfield, R. P. Eonnington, and R. Westall. This scarce work is in an unusually smart condition.Undated, dated from copies held at the National Maritime Museum Caird Library & Archive. In the publisher's original cloth binding.
