A unique scrapbook containing extracts from a variety of newspapers and periodicals, all relating to the luxury motor cars of the period.The scrapbook is compiled of a large quantity of mounted pictorial cuttings.Cars included in this volume are Daimler, Rolls-Royce, Hopper & Co Coachbuilders Ltd, Bentley, Siddley, and Lanchester.The extracts are form adverts and articles from periodicals such as Country Life, Vogue, The Autocar, The Sphere, and more, dated from 1930 to 1936.The compiler of the scrapbook has noted the periodicals the photographs have been extracted from, alongside dates. Including brief articles and adverts describing the motors.An interesting look into the development of motor cars during the pivotal period of growth. In the original cloth binding. Externally, sound. Boards and spine are rubbed and discoloured, with some loss of paper to the boards, mostly to the fore edge of the front board. Light bumping to the spine and extremities. Some marks to the boards and spine. Remnants of a label to the front board. Cloth to the rear joint is lifting a little. Front hinge has failed. Rear hinge is starting. Internally, generally firmly bound, binding is cracked in a couple of places. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. A little edge wear to the pages, some small closed tears.
