Tipped-into the text is an old handwritten prescription from a druggist in West Meriden, Connecticut. Good.

A story told in rhyme for each letter of the alphabet, with each letter accompanied by a small but finely-detailed engraving, extolling the wonders of Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry for numerous ailments, plus testimonials and endorsements for Peruvian Syrup. A very attractive primer, and it has nothing to do with vinegar! Good/No Jacket.
