Exceptionally scarce memorial booklet, celebrating the life of John Walter, MP, proprietor of The Times and grandson of its founder. Booklet was produced for internal circulation to the Times' staff. Engraved photo frontispiece of Walter followed by reprints of his Times obituary and funeral report and a poetic tribute from Punch magazine. Laid in is a black bordered envelope, containing a reprinted black bordered message from Walter's widow Flora, thanking "Mr Buckle" (George E Buckle, Times editor) and his staff for preparing the tribute publication. Bar light toning, all is in VG internal order. Plain white card covers are wrapped in printed vellum paper, this rather toned but otherwise in VG condition. 12mo. 54pp . Very Good/No Jacket.
