The original spine is laid in, in rear. Profusely illustrated with b&w cartoons by John Leech, several per page, spanning the years he worked for Punch. Front hinge is starting, some droplet marks and rubbing to both covers, front endpaper torn near the spine rubbing to edges of book with some fraying to the fore-edges, p. 9 has been repaired with tape at the bottom edge and is chipped along the fore-edge, p. 13 has a 2" tear at the fore-edge which affects 2 comic panels, heavy thumbing to most of the book but it is almost all confined to the margins and affects only a handfull of the comic panels.
