Both volumes are first editions, with the first volume being a second impression, published in 1927. The volumes cover the history and tradition of the most famous English hunts and is written by 'Sabretache' which was the pseudonym Albert Steward Barrow adopted.The volumes cover foxhunting, foxhounds and each chapter is dedicated to a famous historical hunt or group of hounds, including the likes of The Wahddon Chase and The Cheshire Hounds. The second volume aimed to be a sort of guide to the condition and quality of of the quality of the foxhound of the day. Illustrated in colour by Lionel Edwards.With fifteen colour plates and a frontispiece to both volumes.Collated, complete.  From the Ascott House library, owned by the de Rothschild family. He provides advice on equipment, sea fishing from different locations, and a description of different types of fish that may be caught.
