Started in 1967 by the then 12 year old Jon Tiven, New Haven Rock Press was an early rock music fanzine. Mentioned among 'friends of the magazine' is Nick Tosches, who would go on to become a noted rock journalist. This issue with early coverage of the New York Dolls, noting that they are a band to see live, but questioning what their musical legacy will be. Also present is an interview with Pink Floyd, a piece on Small Faces, etc. GOOD+ condition. Fading present along the spine and extremities. Minor soiling/staining to the upper left front corner. Minor curling along the corners. Good .

Baer had a connection with Darby Crash, and has written about his life and career. Second, and last, issue with pieces on the Germs, Plugz, Madness, Go Go's and others. GOOD condition. Moderate creasing to the covers. Rear cover soiled, with a small area of discoloration. Good .

Created by the retail clothing store, Urban Outfitters, the paper embraced an anti-consumerism consumerism tone, using the trendy 1990s jaded/ironic worldview to subtly scorn everything, while branding itself as alternative to the mainstream (as alternative as a multinational corporation can be). The zine/paper used noted comic artists and graphic designers for much of the work.
