There are also some official telegrams from the Norwegian telegraph service. Many of the cards are embroidered with floral designs to the cover.  The messages are in Norwegian. An important collection of cards from this important Norwegian tradition. the Norwegian confirmation was required by law between 1736-1912. It takes place the year an individual turns 15 and is an important ritual into adulthood. A charming album, with some truly beautiful cards. In a full morocco binding.
