Him refers to John Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Abercorn. Lady Anne Jane Gore was his third wife, whom he married on 3 April 1800. He married, firstly, Catherine Copley, and secondly, his first cousin, Lady Cecil Hamilton, from whom he was divorced in 1799 by an Act of Parliament. Good.
