It also provided the group with merit among the professionals of the Third Republic. The present annual contains a financial report, the president's speech, conferences held in 1911, and articles on Japanese prints by M. Koechlin, 'La Danse' by M. le Marquis de Montferrier, on French sculpture of thee seventeenth- and eighteenth-century held at the Louvre by M. P. Vitry among others. With a list of members to the rear. In a lovely quarter calf binding over marbled boards, gilt tooling to the spine, with marbled endpapers and new blank pages. Three 1950s comic strip picture stories based on hit television programmes, The New Adventures of Charlie Chan and The Buccaneers. This set includes three comic strip picture stories based off 'The Gunpowder Plot' from The Buccaneers, and 'Three Men on a Raft' and 'The Noble Art of Murder' from The New Adventures of Charlie Chan. The New Adventures of Charlie Chan aired in the United States from 1957 to 1958. It consisted of thirty-nine monochrome episodes that followed the investigations of Chinese-American detective Charlie Chan. The television show is based of a series of mystery novels by Earl Derr Biggers featuring Charlie Chan, published in the late 1920s and early 1930s.The Buccaneers aired in the United States and Great Britain from 1956 to 1957 and starred Robert Shaw as Dan Tempest, a notorious pirate who sailed the seven seas with his crew. Two volumes of biblical illustrations by old masters An uncommon work comprised of a series of biblical illustrations by old masters such as Rembrandt, de Poussin, and Da Vinci. With 30 plates to each volume, except volume IV which has 33, collated and complete. However, in volume II, the plate called for at page 78 is at page 73, and the plate called for at page 80 is at page 76. Working chronologically through the bible, each engraving is presented with a biblical passage printed English, French, and German. In black leather binding with gilt. Externally, sound. A little rubbed to the boards with some minor scuffs to the leather to the rear board of both volumes. Lightly rubbed to the spine, with a scuff to the spine of the second volume. The front hinge is very tender to volume II, and the front endpaper is disbound but present. Pages lightly age-toned but generally clean throughout. Good . Ill.: Various. Good .
