Laid-in is an addendum slip explaining that since the first publication, investigation has determined that Captain Wallace was killed by Indians rather than by "self-destruction". That leads us to believe that this copy, and most other copies that are in such good condition, were published later than the 1926 date stated on the title page. Very Good.
