London, Herbert Jenkins, 1969. First UK edition with "First Published in 1969" on the copyright page. Bound in black paper-covered boards and stamped brightly in silver on the spine. Very clean and tight. In the complete and colorful dust jacket designed by Osbert Lancaster. With the original price of 25s. at the bottom of the front inside flap; and a photo of a toe-touching Wodehouse on the rear panel. This copy has been inscribed by Plum on the title page: "To Ward Burns with best wishes P.G. Wodehouse. This one won't be out in American till next spring Nov. 24 1969." Laid in is a copy of a letter written by Ward Burns of Greenwich, Conn and dated Dec. 9 1969 to P.G. Wodehouse, thanking him for the package from Remsemberg with its "magnificently autographed" copy of "The Pelican at Blandings." Mr. Burns also alludes to his investment in the off-Broadway revival of "Anything Goes." Included with the letter is the original Parcel Post address label printed in Wodehouse's hand.
